Ok tried and it and didn't work. Couldn't see the router GUI anymore but it came up running with no service.
Happily I could use the reset button to get back to the default set and then rebuilt it by hand.

replacing tl-wr1043nd v1 with v2 question
My tl-wr1043nd v1 is burnt out. I am getting a tl-wr1043nd v2.
I was running 1.6.1 on the v1 and have downloaded 1.6.2 for the v2. Can I reuse my settings file ok? Any thing I need to be aware of?
Thanks!

Re: Router time screwed up
I am using the same router. It will not auto correct the time. I think we need a way to tell gargoyle to sync its time or allow the user to enter the proper time!

Re: Possible time problem
Good tip! I went ahead and loaded up a saved configuration I had and it started working again! ROM must have gotten corrupted somehow!

Email new WAN IP
I saw this feature in a power strip that is controllable over the internet. Its stis behind my router so I already have the feature but thought it would be nice for Gagoyle too.
When the WAN IP changes it allows an email alert to be sent via SMTP to a your mail server.
Very handy!

Re: DYNDNS not updating correctly?
I have opened an Afraid.org dns account to see if it worked differently.
When I click the force update in gargoyle I get the following in the data/time field. The account is not showing as updated at afraid.org
NaN/NaN NaN:NaN:NaN

DYNDNS not updating correctly?
I am not sure what is causing this atm. I have a dyndns standard account that lets me map my domain to my dynamic address. Before I was using the router to update this I was using the PC tool they supply. I now have the router doing it directly. Note this used to work with both my pc version and my ...

Thanks Eric that was the problem! I did it properly for routing the request to the proper PC. Not sure why I didn't notice it on this page!
