problem setting up dyndns

Post by ScottAdams »

I have successfully gotten the image running on the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND.

Now my issue is getting the router to open DynDns with my IP. I found where to set this but the drop down box for the settings won't let me select dyndns. Suggestions?

Thanks

Scroll down -- dyndns.com should be 4th from the bottom of the list. Or are you saying you're getting an error when you select it? If so, what error do you see?

Sorry for not giving the details Eric.

I set the dyns, enable the function, enter my account, domain and password. I click save changes.

All items are erased and set back to initial settings of unenabled and blank.

After you entered all the data, did you remember to press "Add DDNS Service", before pressing, "Save Changes"?

Thanks Eric that was the problem! I did it properly for routing the request to the proper PC. Not sure why I didn't notice it on this page!

Anyways that fixed it :)

thanks!

Thanks Eric that was the problem
I have the same problem with gargoyle form time to time

3 click process is strange

-select
-add
-save

should be

-select
-save

I think the "save" button should both "add" and "save" with one click just in case the user forgets to click "add"?

I guess we will get used to it :)
