I have NOD32, but I disabled it during flashing and all this trouble-time...
NOD32 has the habit to disable the ability to visit the webpage of most routers. also Gargoyle.
You can set an exception in the NOD32 settings, that it shall not disable the contact to your router. Then it should work again.

How to enable the website again:

NOD32? Wow, people still pay money for antivirus software? I don't know why anyone with Windows isn't using MSE since it is free. And if this program is truly what is blocking the router webpage, there sure is a misunderstanding and a level of intrusiveness that makes this software a pos in my book.

mix wrote:The problem must be your computer or web browser. There are plenty of people using Gargoyle on their TL-WR1043ND without any problems. Did you actually try a different computer or web browser? Did you try to see if you can access the webpage using "telnet 192.168.1.1 80" and GET from the windows command line? You know how to check if httpd_gargoyle is running on openwrt? Since you don't have the firmware installed anymore I am not going to continue this conversation.
I've tried to get access to web-interface by:
-different PC
-different browser
and did not tried:
- telnet 192.168.1.1 80 and

I've just known this commands:

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/uhttpd start
/etc/init.d/uhttpd stop
Now it's to late, I'll try reflash it some days later. Successful experience of recovering firmware to factory's making me itch to try it again. :)

UPD. Maybe the cause of trouble was f..ing NOD32. Now I've tried to disable it and check it's HTTP-scanning module: it was enabled :(!
I'm trying to migrate to linux in common, but my wifi-card is no supported there proprietary drivers (Debian, Mint).

The issue is solved: the course of unavaible web-interface is the f...g ESET SMART SECURITY aka NOD32! Rather it was the HTTP-scanning module.
Thank you very much!
