Re: Gargoyle 1.3.8 + VPN PPTP Server
Hi All, Just installed and setup Gargoyle 1.3.8, everything works ok so far, but I cannot connect to my VPN PPTP Server, I have forwarded/opened port 1723 pointing to my VPN PPTP Server but still no luck, what do I need to do to get this working. I tested following setup. WAN IP: Static IP WAN GW: ...

Re: 1.3.8 300Mbps Wireless Link
Try
option 'htmode' 'HT40-'
instead of
option 'htmode' 'HT40+'
BTW: how you decided on using Channel 6?
What channel is selected in factory firmware/Auto mode?

Re: Default Firewall configuration in Gargoyle
For 'Testing' purposes - you could always put one of the PC's into the DMZ - it's under the Firewall tab Just check-mark "Use DMZ" and enter in the IP of the test PC If pings or other connectivity issues still occur, its not the firewall Good idea, thank you. I would put into DMZ zone one...

Re: Version 1.3.8
It seems TP-Link was adding Second Connection and Dual Access to firmware for WR941ND v2, v3 in firmware released in March and June 2010. Similar changes in log for WR841ND v5 firmware. For TL-WR941ND v2 and v3 TL-WR941ND_V3_100609 6/9/2010 * Support static route item on the second connection. TL-WR...

Re: Question on Bandwidth Monitoring/Quota
I definitely like member Splat's idea of an "Exclusion IP List". i.e. a list of IP's that Gargoyle does NOT monitor. In my case, our ISP runs Gaming Servers. Uploads and downloads are NOT included in our 50gb per month plan. One of our children uses 12gb, just for this gaming site. I want...

Re: Version 1.3.8
I did "clean test", to make sure that problem is not coming from provider's side. Network layout ------------------------- Internet -- [router 192.168.1.1] --- [Gargoyle 10.10.10.1] --- Client PC Gargoyle (WR841ND) LAN IP: 10.10.10.1 WAN settings: WAN IP: 192.168.1.10 (Static IP) Mask: 255...

Can you connect to Internet?
If not - see my posts above.
Connection to Internet via PPPoE doesn't work for me.

Re: Version 1.3.8
vplessky: I've tested with two TP-link ar71xx models, though not the one you have and have not encountered this problem. By any chance are you using PPPoE? There's another thread in the forum reporting some errors with AR71xx when PPPoE is in use, and I am wondering if there's any chance this might...
