Help unbricking a new WR841N
Got a new router today and tried loading 1.6.0 on it using the web interface. No response at all from the router. A 30/30/30 will get the system light flashing really fast but it still won't ping or telnet in. Is the solder method really the only way to get it going. If I return it for warranty (say...

Re: New router better?
Future proof as in for later versions of Gargoyle? I'm really only using it as a WAP. Would this be a better unit to run Gargoyle on, or do the older units tend to be more bullet proof (sort of like ...

Re: Connecting a router to another
FWIW, this post being a month old and all, yes. I have our DSL modem/router combo downstairs, it has 4 ports 2 for the PCs one for the network printer and one which goes upstairs via cat5, through a switch which is where all the home theater gear is, then via a power link to the 2nd router (DHCP bot...

Quotas not sticking
Hi all! first post here! Well, what a week! Our new housemate managed to blow our 200GB limit in 10 days, and now we've been shaped to 256K. Add to that our performace hit from our crappy ADSL and it's like the good old days, or more accurately, the BAD old days of dial up. Gargoyle to the rescue! I...
