Bandwidth Metering Calculation Not Correct

Post by Vau9hn »

Hi guys,

First off...this is an excellent piece of software.

I have recently updated my router - TP-RM3420 v2.4 with Gargoyle v1.9.1. Everything runs great. I have set quotas for various users to throttle bandwidth once limit is reached - and it works like a charm.

Then after updating the quotas, I noticed that some of the users had bandwidth amounts removed from there bandwidth usage. For example, where the total bandwidth consumed by a particular user was lets say 700 MB, after an amendment to the quotas, they would only reflect 100 MB usage.

It seems that the usage is not lost, but rather not included in the total calculation. If I add the hours total...it is much more than the daily / monthly totals (also more than the displayed quota usage).

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have tried to attach some examples...but I am not able to because of board attachment quota.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Vaughn

Hi guys,

Here is a link to the screenshots:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108 ... _usage.zip

If you see the hours screen shot, total tallies up to roughly 157 MB.

In the days screenshot, there is a total of 84 MB and in the monthly screenshot only a total for October of 0.319 MB.

Before the quota update, all usage tied up to the same amount.

Thanks,
Vaughn
