I've got a TP-Link TL-WR841N v9.3 which has been running 1.8.1 for a fair while, mostly being used to control internet access times for my 4 step-kids (different ages, different devices, different timed restrictions).
However, recently (last month or so) it's become unreliable - keeps dropping connections, or de-authorising wifi connections, etc. In addition, changing settings in the admin console doesn't always work - you change a setting and save it appropriately, and it comes back as it was before the change.
However, this week it's become completely unusable - in short, router keeps resetting itself in a one-minute or so boot loop, so I've had to take it out of service.
I can't reset it - I can log in to the admin web pages, and appear to make a change (and sometimes it will appear to have saved it), but nothing changes. The unit usually reboots within a minute or so, so I can't reset to defaults, change settings, backup settings, anything. I can't enable SSH or similar to try to access/alter via that route, 30/30/30 doesn't work.
In short, it appears I'm stuck - I can't see how it's possible to reflash with another firmware - any ideas? I'd like to go back to using Gargoyle as it avoided a lot of negotiating/arguing over Internet usage times!

See http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... f=8&t=8505 for how to put a router into failsafe recovery mode.
Once in, firstboot to reset.

Thanks, I'm in - much appreciated.
Re: Can't change settings, can't reset
OK, one more question - I set up the access by allocating devices to particular IP ranges, as shown here:
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=dhcp
Where is the file that these are stored in? I've looked at the files in /etc/config and can't find them?
