WR1043ND V1.10 1.9.0 brick after bridging WAN to LAN

Post by wipeD »

Hello guys,

I just bricked my W1043ND V10 on 1.9.0 by enabling the bridge WAN to LAN feature.

The router is being used as an AccessPoint as well as a switch (which still works!) and now it is dead.
Just wanted to report that and to be careful with that option, I guess.

I have a serial port mounted already so I will proceed to unbrick the router.

Do you guys want any information regarding that bug?

This is a perplexing post.

There is no w1043nd v10. So you must be talking about the wr841nd v10?
At which point I now wonder, which firmware did you use because we don't support it lol?

If I took a guess, v9? Which has a different model switch to the v10 which could be the reason that this failed to work.

Did failsafe work? I've recovered from incorrect switch configs with failsafe dozens of times.
Also tp link should be able to ne recovered using tftp.

Yes, I meant the WR1043ND V1.10 .. I forgot that there is a V1 and V2 now, so... yeah...

Well, we unbricked it via the serial port.
