Monitor Network Usage by device per month

Post by scjohnson243 »

Good morning everyone, I searched the forums and could not find a answer to a question I am looking to solve. If its there please forgive me, I must have missed it!

I have a 15gig monthly data allowance from our sattelite internet provider. Yesterday our allowance reset and by 7PM we got an email saying we have used 70% of our monthy allowance... This is not an uncommon occurance. I checked to make sure all the PS4/Xbox's were off... My home computer was sitting idle, no updates or background downloads running... This happens every month.

My son has a cell phone, and I suspect he may be part of the problem - the provider can not provide much information.

Would the Gargoyle software work with my router (Netgear Nighthawk R7000) and be able to give me a list of bandwith usage by IP for the day/week/month?

This is exactly what gargoyle does.
But...

Your device isn't supported yet I'm sorry

But you could buy a new device

And it will probably pay for itself in the first month that you exceed your 15GB limit and get wacked by your ISP
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?
