ADSL
How can I set up a Telstra ADSL home modem to allow other ADSL modems on the same phone line to work? I am NOT using a LAN setup. I simply want to connect 2 ADSL modems on 2 computers in different rooms to be able to access the ADSL single line in my house. As soon as another modem is connected, the whole system slows down to molasses; as soon as we disconnect one of the modems, broadband works fine.
Re: ADSL
You cannot put two modems on the same ADSL line as you described. I am actually surprised that you got any throughput at all when you tried.
I am curious as to why you think it would be in anyway advantageous to do so either. The classic way to allow two computers to share the lie is to use a router.
