TP-Link TL-WR740N/ND v4 vs. AVAST NOTIFICATION

Post by Mircea.Deianu »

Hi,

AVAST on my WIN 7 claims that my router TP-Link TL-WR740N/ND v4 is vulnerable to hacker attacks with catalogue ID's : CVE-2014-4019, CVE-2012-5687 and CVE-2014-5208. My router firmware is Gargoyle v1.8.1 and works fine.
As I have found the vulnerability is related to a file written by firmware which contains the router password, see https://osandamalith.wordpress.com/ .

Please advice me.

CVE-2014-4019
Doesn't exist? I can't find any reference to it.

CVE-2012-5687
Only relevant to the stock firmware. Openwrt is not affected.

CVE-2014-5208
Has nothing to do with routers.
