TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750

Post by nemeiah »

Hi guys, I just had a look yesterdayon google to find a firmware that supports traffic/bandwitch monitoring and came across gargoyle-router.
At the moment I am having a Sky router and sky broadband (I am based in UK). I want to purchase a router that supports gargoyle firmware. I
had a look at the supported routers and then did a search on amazon and found this one: TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Cable Router (2.4 GHz 450 Mbps, 5 GHz 1,300 Mbps).
Is this one ok with gargoyle 1.8 firmware? Another question would be: could I use my sky router as a modem and this as a router? Are the settings complicated to make this new router usable? I will have to use a cable to connect the sky "modem" and my new router right? Is there anything else that I should consider?
Thanks for your support.
