Issue with Plugins and Monitoring

Post by kerosene »

Hello All, I am having a problem with Monitoring and Plugins feed.

The issue with monitoring is that even thought the monitoring is enabled nothing is being logged.

the issue with Plugins feed is that even though I add a site to the feed there are no additional plugins to download, I thought it was maybe an issue with my image and updated to 1.7.2 without preserving the settings but unfortunately that didn't help.

Any assistance would be great. Maybe I need to reset everything from scratch? as in clean os

Hello Kerosene,
please post the plugin source and I can try to add it on my router to verify your issue.
It would also help if you can tell us the firmware version that you are currently using to see this problem, as well as the specific router hardware.

Are you referring to this plugin?

DNS Adblocking support for Gargoyle
Version: 20150716-1.0.1
Status: Not Installed

I just added the plugin source and it shows up on my D-Link DIR-835 Rev. A1 using Gargoyle 1.7.X (Built 20150718)
The issue might be specific to your router model.

The Adblock plugin has been included in 1.7.2 so the additional source is not required :)
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Correct. That source will always contain the most up to date version. However they are currently the same :)

I'll edit the post to remove any confusion.

Yes, that plugin...If it's added by default I should see it on the list to the left, if so I do not. The moniyoring issue came up in version 1.7.0 older versions worked. Problem is no matter what source i add nothing comes up :/

Sorry - clarification ..... The Adblock plugin is included in Gargoyle 1.7.2 as one possible plugin for you to install. You need to go to Gargoyle - System - Plugins and click Refresh. Then install the Adblock plugin and it will show up on the left under Gargoyle - Firewall - Adblock.

You do not need to add http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_plugins as a repository
