RouterStation Pro with backfire

Post by ispyisail »

Hi Eric

Just for fun I decided to build a gargoyle backfire for RouterStation pro.

To my surprise it worked, well kind of

But the problem is It doesn't seam to be able to read or write the config file? Any thoughts on this

The javascript on the main page is clearly encountering errors. If there's an issue with interacting with the wireless driver (since it's different than on any of the devices Gargoyle currently supports), that could do it.

Also make sure you've de-activated the busybox implementation of brctl (which became the default in Backfire, unfortunately) when you do your configuration, as Gargoyle requires the full version to work.

I should also add that the router has two wifi cards

Slot 0 = Ubnt SR2 "2.4 GHz 802.11b/g"
Slot 1 = TP-Link TL-WN861N "300M Wireless N"

I've compiled with both madwifi and ath9k

Im guessing that ath9k is going to be a problem
