Port Forwarding Semi-Issue (Very strange to me)

Post by SeeThruHead »

Ok so I have used gargoyle router for quite some time now. I decided I wanted to be able to access my Sickbeard and CouchPotato servers remotely. I signed up for a noip account and added the settings to garboyle. Now when I type in my ***.noip.me into my web browser it directs me to the gargoyle admin sign in. When I use ***.noip.me/8085 (a mongoose web server) it again directs me to the sign in page. This happens for both ***.noip.me/5050 (couchp) and /8081 (sickbeard)

However, when i added ***.noip.me/5050 and ***.noip.me.8081 to my mediadog android app, with the api keys, I can access both servers via cellular and interact with them fine. So my ddns seems to be working soewhat.

now when i try to access ***.noip.me on any port from cellular it says google chrome could not connect.

I have all the ports forwarded to the ip that my pc shows up as under gargoyles connection interface.

What on earth am i missing here? Why does it allow remote connections of mediadog but nothing else? and why does my ddns work on my local machines browser but not my android browser (but works fine for mediadog)

I'm stumped.

You have to put ":" after domain instead of "/" to connect to different ports.
