dhcp settings not saving any more

Post by nickr »

I am tired from diagnosing this and will post quickly and off to bed!

Suddenly all my dhcp reservations disappeared and now they won't save.

I am using 1.5.10 on a gargoyle router I bought here.

Working well until now. Suddenly hosts started being on different IP addresses to normal and I noticed all the reservations have disappeared in the web interface and won't save. I click "save changes" and they appear to save. But click away from the dhcp page and go back and they are gone.

I cannot for the life of me work out what is wrong. As an experiment I tried to change the default lease time and it exhibits the same problem.

I *think* the settings seem to be in /etc/config/dhcp - this file has a date of 1 Jan 2001 and never changes, no matter what I do i the web gui.

I have if course rebooted the router and also unplugged it and cold booted.

Help? I need dhcp reservation because I give the kids quotas and need to reserve their IPs. Also mythtv works better on a fixed IP.

Thanks for listening. 1st post here but long time gargoyle fan.
