What is imq0 & imq1?

Post by stonebuffalo »

My router is working as an AP. If I connect using wireless on my laptop or on the iphone the devices are assigned IP address by dchp.

What I would like to do is to have a wired connection to the same network.

..but I'm now lost as I don't see the second ethernet port only imq0 and imq1.

Can someone nudge me in the right direction or tell me I'm mad? I've been at this for hours and still no further forward.

The intention is to setup the router to use privoxy or something similar...

Thanks :?

imq0 and imq1 are virtual devices used for QoS. Even if QoS isn't active they can show up if the kernel module is active, but they shouldn't be doing anything if you haven't activated QoS.

I don't think they have anything to do with the problem you are having.

I haven't enabled QoS.

It looks to me like the second Ethernet (LAN) port is bridged to the WAN port.

I'd like to put this in the same subnet as the WLAN. Is this possible?
