limiting bandwidth
Hi, I hope its not too much for me to ask. I have ADSL at my home. When I perform a speedtest via local ISP, I am getting about 13Mbps download and about 1Mbps upload. My Computer is physically connected to port #1 with an ip address of 192.168.0.103 of the Gargoyle router and my neighbor is connected to port # 2 with an ip address of 192.168.0.110. Let's say I want to limit my neighbors overall net speed, how can I configure this on the router? If I am getting 13Mbps download and I want my neighbor to get 3Mbps download perhaps so that majority of the bandwidth goes to me since I own the dsl connection. If possible, please provide me a step by step guide or screenshot on the exact configuration I need to do. Super appreciate everyone's help. Thanks much.
Re: limiting bandwidth
Sorry no step by step guides but Gargolyle QoS will do exactly what you want and lots of good information on how is written in the Wiki here http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=qos
So give it a go and if you have trouble post again.

Re: limiting bandwidth
