Site to Site VPN

Post by djc123 »

Hi Guys,

I have only recently made the switch to Gargoyle and absolutely love it. The functionality is great and it has been super stable. I am running on a Netgear WNDR3800 using 1.5.10. I was so impressed with it that I got my buddy to get the same router setup for his place.

We are trying to setup site to site VPN, so that clients at either site can access the clients on the remote end of the VPN, but we haven't had any luck so far.

We have setup one router as OpenVPN Server, and the other as OpenVPN client - but cant seem to figure out how to setup each end properly. We have both site networks using different subnets. We have tried looking though the guides and other forum posts but dont seem to be getting anywhere.

Also curious is we can add a 3rd site to this sort of setup. e.g. Server with 2 clients. Will either client be able to see the other client, or just the server?

Any hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Danny

Never messed with VPN but see if this helps:

http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/vpn.openvpn

Almost all OpenWRT documentation will work with Gargoyle
 Soylent Green Is People!
2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400
