Hi,
I have been using Gargoyle for some time now on my WZR-HP-G300NH2, but would like to revert to the Buffalo DD-WRT firmware.
I did find the thread that DoesItMatter created for the WZR-HP-G300NH, but the instructions provided there are for the stock DD-WRT firmware and require some hex-editing. Additional searching only has me very confused as all the forum threads I could find seem to contradict each other. I am also not clear if these instructions are specific to the G300 model or also work for the G300NH2 model.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with some pointers on how to proceed.
Revert WZR-HP-G300NH2 to Buffalo DD-WRT?

From the DD-WRT side of things - they look similar except
the NH2 has different hardware, but flashing and tftp/serial recovery
should be about the same for both routers

See info on that page
You SHOULD be able to flash from Gargoyle/OpenWRT -> DD-WRT
via the Gargoyle GUI, but I would recommend doing a
reset to defaults first, only set a password, then go ahead and
flash this version from the Gargoyle GUI
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/download ... -MULTI.bin
As I said in my original one for the WZR-HP-G300NH, the Atheros
flashing takes a LONG time compared to Broadcom flashing
Start the flash, then leave your router alone for 10-15 minutes,
then check on it later. As always - you know the risk on flashing
and if for some reason it fails, you have to TFTP recover or
Serial recover the router.

It seems like this does not work on the WZR-HP-G300NH2. I used the bin file you have linked to, but if I select this file in the Gargoyle firmware upgrade screen, there is a brief message about transferring data to the router and after that the upgrade screen just sits at "Upgrading firmware now" for upto 1 hour.DoesItMatter wrote: You SHOULD be able to flash from Gargoyle/OpenWRT -> DD-WRT

I used the TFTP method to flash the Buffalo user-friendly firmware to the router, and after confirming that this worked, I used the same approach to flash the Community build of DD-WRT.
