Stuck in Wireless Bridge/Repeater

Hi!
Just flashed my fonera with gargoyle (yes...again! ), but i got stuck configuring wifi bridge/repeater.
This is what i've done:

1) Installed gargoyle , everything seems ok
2) Log in via web interface
3) Configured as Wifi Bridge/Repeater
4) Set ip,subnet,etc... respecting my existing wifi network
5) Connect via Client/Bridge option enabled
6) Repeater disabled
7) ssid & encryption identical to my existing network
8) saved and reboot

The problem is that it never associate with my existing wifi router (there's not mac restiction!, but only wpa2 encryption).

I can ping LaFonera only if i plug the ethernet cable

Any idea?

Well.. I think I know what the problem is, because of your previous post wanting to do a custom configuration.

When you do a custom configuration, you need to make sure all the appropriate packages are selected... my guess is you left out ebtables, which is necessary to make client bridge work. Note, that this ONLY works with Gargoyle, not vanilla OpenWrt. Gargoyle applies patches to ebtables which allow client bridge, and then you need to select the ebtables packages (both kernel and userspace) to use it in the final firmware.

Also, you have to use the 2.6.26 kernel (no newer/older kernel versions work with the client bridge patches), and the madwifi wifi driver (ath9k is not supported by Gargoyle).
