OpenVPN client config

Post by clown »

Hello,

Thanks for the awesome firmware.

I'm trying to config a client VPN on my router (TP-Link TL-1043ND) to connect to a VPN provider via the web interface and I can't establish a connection. When I input the data on the VPN client config screen, Gargoyle says "can't read the config files", do I need to rename or edit any of the config files so Gargoyle can read them??

I am a complete noob to configuring VPNs on routers. In the Gargoyle GUI, it asks for TLS authorization...is this a file, or a key that is normally included in my provider's config files?? (TLS Auth Key - (ta.key))

I'm a little frustrated because I was able to successfully do this on an old Buffalo router with TomatoUSB, using the same config files, so I know the config files from my VPN provider are correct.

Has anyone successfully connected to a VPN provider via the GUI??

I think this is an awesome firmware, much faster response times vs. Tomato or DD-Wrt, but I'm not a coder/programmer, so I prefer to do things via GUI.

Thanks.

Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to connect to a VPN service provider (AirVPN), not create my own server. For example, the VPN service provider has their own config files which users(me) use to connect to THEIR servers.

Is this possible with Gargoyle??

They don't require/use a username/password.

Thanks for your help.
