advice on how to setup WRT54GS with Speedtouch ST585v6sl?

I currently use a Speedtouch ST585v6sl as my modem/wifi router and now I've got a WRT54GS but I'm having issues trying to solve how to set it up so it works how I'd like

I'd like the WRT54GS to use the internet from the Speedtouch and then use the WLAN from the WRT54GS for devices I'd like to control & monitor. I'm not too bothered about joining the 2 together using a LAN cable

The Speedtouch has an IP of 192.168.1.254 which can't be changed

Can anyone advise what the settings in Gargoyle should be and also how I should set it all up etc so it works as below

the picture shows the Linksys with IP 192.1.1.??? but it's actually 192.168.1.253 at the moment
