I have Gargoyle 1.4.7 on a WRT54G Router. I have only just installed this on the weekend so I can work out how our quota is being eaten up.
I had been using a MAC Filter on wi fi devices in the old Linksys set-up, I have read that this does not keep sophisticated intruders out but I have kept it anyway. However it seems as I add devices to the MAC filter I keep losing access from my wi fi devices. After a bit of trial and error it seems they can only re-establish connection if I change the Password for the Access Point. I have set it up with WPA2 PSK encryption.
This makes maintenance painful as each time I add a device I need to inform all users of the new password. Is this expected behaviour?
Should I just abandon the MAC Filter and rely upon the encryption and password? Thanks in advance for any comments.
