I have just obtained a DIR-825 and I see that it is Hardware Ver C1.
OpenWRT site says that B1 & B2 hardware is Atheros AR7161 but C1 is Atheros AR9344. Seems to me that the AR71xx firmware will be no good for the new 825's.........
Pity, it has more RAM and flash, seems like a good platform. Unfortunately the learning curve is too steep for me to consider a port.

Yeah, have looked and Atheros 93xx is not on the platforms list.
So, something to watch out for - there seems to be B2 and C1 stock available her is Oz. Looks like Bx will work on current OpenWRT but C1 will not.

Re: D-Link DIR-825 New Version No Good?
DIR-825 rev C1 is now supported in OpenWrt trunk as is DIR-835 which is the same hardware with an upgrade to 3x3 on the 5 GHz band. Any chance of getting Gargoyle support?
