Hi,
First, I have to say I'm _very_ impressed with Gargoyle. Being able to easily set DNS server(s) and force their usage is top notch! Also, I'm looking forward to experimenting with ACC and QoS settings.
THANK YOU! Eric, Paul, Artur, Cezary, Piotr, Tony, Igor, Carol, Shane, Benjamin, ...
I'm considering using Gargoyle at a camp that uses a satellite ISP. So, a transparent (squid) proxy is a must. I'm OK with this residing on a separate computer, so I'm thinking I can (roughly) follow the instructions in this OpenWRT forum post https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=18582.
Any caveats or things to look out for when doing this?
I do have the Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH, so in theory I could also attach an SSD in an enclosure to the USB connection, but I don't know if this makes sense. I think that perhaps it would be OK if I just use squid, but will not be appropriate if I also want to run Dansguardian. Any opinions on this option?
Thanks for any assistance.
