Re: Cyfre 3G broadband router
Are you using a 3g card in your 3g broadband router? If so simply setup the 3g broadband router like it was a standalone router, ( use the setup Wizard for the 3g broadband router and select 3g mode in the Wizard) make sure it connects the 3g card to the provider. Bridge the Lan and Wan port on the 3g broadband router as this will turn the wan port into a Lan port, this step also isn't necessary but it gives you an extra Lan port. If you have Gargoyle loaded on your wrt54g router simply plug the Cat cable into the wan port on the the wrt54g router and then plug the other end of the cable into the lan port on the 3g broadband router. Set up Gargoyle to be the Gateway and enable DHCP on the Gargoyle loaded router. At this point you should be able to access both wireless AP's, the one on the wrt54g router and the 3g broadband router. The AP on the wrt54g router can be Bandwidth managed and the other will be just like any other AP without any throttle. You can also turn off wireless AP on the 3g broadband router if you like, only the wrt54g router will then be accessible wireless. I have the same setup except I use an un-managed switch between the 3g broadband router and the wrt54g router with Gargoyle.
