Everything you need should be on that page.
Pay attention to this:
So, you are really still running an upgraded stock firmware
if you are using OpenWRT / Gargoyle

Pay attention to this:
Code: Select all
Information on the factory-standard NETGEAR firmware
The stock firmware is actually a modified version of an older OpenWRT release. NETGEAR has provided partial sources, but the firmware can be tricky to build.
Some instructions for building (and rooting around in) the default firmware can be found here. This may also be helpful in attempts to duplicate the proprietary firmware in the fully open-source OpenWRT distribution:
if you are using OpenWRT / Gargoyle

2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

Re: rollback to official Netgear firmware!
Why restore the Netgear firmware first? Can't you go directly from Gargoyle to DD-WRT? I seem to remember that I did, some time ago.angelsanges wrote:thanks! but i think that this is not the answer i was searching....

Re: rollback to official Netgear firmware!
because i tried that without success.
system upgrade , selected ddwrt and clicked ok....nothing appened, only a text: upgrading router....and gargoyle is still on 3700
I do not hate gargoyle, i simpy need wireless scheduler (turn on/off on specified time)

Turn off the router.angelsanges wrote:because i tried that without success.

Turn it back on while pressing the little 'reset' button at the bottom.
Keep the button pressed for about 45-60 seconds, until the power light start blinking green.
Now the router is in 'recovery' mode and you can tftp the stock firmware image to it.
You'll have to give your PC a static address of 192.168.1.2.
