lock 4g connection

hi,

im just use Gargoyle firmware a few day ago and notice that i cannot lock connection to 4g. there only option for auto 4g/3g/2g. is there anyway i cannot lock it? because when i using it on auto, the speed is fluctuated, when the speed is fast but suddenly it become so slow and i need to restart the router just to restore the speed

using huawei e398 with tplink tl-wdr3600

You can attempt to lock the protocol using the mode option

This is done by manually editing the config.

not quite sure how to do it.. is there any example that i can use for config?

also, which protocol do you recommended with this type of config? wwan, qmi or ncm?

If you look at your /etc/config/network file it should be straight forward to figure out which bit to change.

I don't know anything about the protocols but i think they are hardware dependent rather than a choice.

also, is there indicator on the control panel that i can use to track my connection mode if i use this method?
