TL-WR1043N/ND v1 vs NBN
So we finally got NBN.
It is 25 Mb and will be 50 Monday. Copper here won't allow 100.
I've used Gargoyle on TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1 for ages on 1.8.0 and love it.
Old internet was 2Mb. Had to change gargy IP to match Telstra Gateway (white one) but apart from that just plugged nbn in.
Initially was ok but am getting intermittent gargy reboots. Lights go off come back on. Phones and pc and xbox lose it.
Never done that before. It's gotta be nbn. Is the TP up to it?
Do i need a better router? How do i tell? Maybe it's a setting?
Please help.
Thanks

you might want to do a fail safe reset first.
It should run fine with just the default settings.
If you have everything turned on and you have a heavy load?

I read fail safe, seems drastic and beyond me!
So should I order a new faster better router and flash 1.9.1 onto it?

I don't recommend getting into the alternative firmware scene without being confident in doing a simple failsafe reset...

What does that mean? Obviously i do alternative firmware if you look at the router name. I am just after whether my router cpu isn't up to the NBN or not? And if not what does someone recommend to buy. And if it should be ok, why is the load so high and how do i diagnose and/or fix it?
