Assist on flushing between Gargoyle and Openwrt for WRT1900ACS

Please give me some advices on the title question that which firmware (factory file or upgrade file) I should use if I would like to flush Linksys WRT1900ACS between Gargoyle and Openwrt freely?

Use FACTORY to move between OEM and Openwrt/Gargoyle
Use SYSUPGRADE to move between Openwrt and Gargoyle (and the other way)

Do not preserve settings.
