Hi all
I have installed the firmware onto a WRT54GS V3 router with no issues. I have the router connected into my telstra modem via ethernet and all works well so far. I have connected my Desktop PC and have full internet access. When I connect my laptop via the wireless it connected fine.
I have then assigned the IP addess of 192.168.1.41 to the laptop as I want to introduce quota's. The default gateway I have tried as 192.168.1.1 and leaving blank but have the same issues. The laptop connects to the router but no internet is available. It states an error in windows 7 that DCHP is not enabled. I have LAN DCHP server enabled for 192.168.100 to 192.168.1.200 for guests etc. What am am doing wrong? Any ideas? All works fine until I assign an IP address but need the IP address on the laptop to make the quota system work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: WRT54GS Wireless Issues
If I am reading your post correctly..... You also need to assign DNS server numbers manually on the laptop see your gargoyle status page http://192.168.1.1/overview.sh
... from wan DNS server
