Request: Gargoyle for TL-WA801ND ???

Post by Vaako »

Hi,

Can Gargoyle be installed on an TP-Link TL-WA801ND Access Point?

CPU: Atheros AR7240 rev 1.2 (0x00c2)
CPU Model: MIPS 24Kc V7.4
Wireless chipset: Atheros AR9238-AL1A
4mb Flash (Winbond 25Q32BVS1G)
32mb Ram (Zentel A3S56D40FTP)
(The PCB is very identical to: TP-Link TL-WA901ND)
(The WA801ND has other radio chip than WA901ND)
FCC ID = 'TE7WA801ND'
The router id is: 08 01 00 01

I like to use two of them in Bridge mode with WPA2 wireless security.
As for the original FW it alows only WEP in Bridge mode :(
Regards,
Vaako

Can not find much about WA801ND at OpenWRT only this post:
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=30420

There is a modified WA901ND firmware (thx to LOM) at DD-WRT forum for the WA801ND for initial flashing so this comes handy for flashing to Gargoyle :D

You can find this threat here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=140015
The file for WA-801ND is based on WA-901ND rev 16785.

The file is called: factory-to-ddwrt.rar (thx to LOM)
Can be found here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/download.php?id=20740

There is also a revert DD-WRT to Stock firmware available (thx to LOM)
The file is called: wa801nv1_webrevert.rar
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/download.php?id=21138
