DDWRT to gargoyle (DD-WRT)

Hi,

I have DD-WRT v24-sp2 (09/08/09) mini installed on a wrt54g v2.2
I tried the Gargoyle .trx file using the DD WRT webgui upgrade page. It gives me an error : Incorrect image file. I then tried to put openwrt but get the same error.

Is there any easy way to install Gargoyle over DD-WRT?

Does the bin file work? Also, is there any reason why you are using an older version of DD-Wrt when newer versions are available?

I upgraded DDWRT to a new version then tried to flash using the .bin file. It worked. I managed to enter the gargoyle GUI. Now the problem is that I cannot get the wan interface to work. It seems like the wan that is eth0.1 is the same physical interface as the lan that is eth0.0 because they show the same MAC adress in the status page. So I tried to reset configs to default and also flash with the .trx file. Same problem with wan interface.

When i use DD-WRT, wan port is named vlan1 and lan ports vlan0 and have different MACs.
