quota penalty problem

Post by ceew »

I have a quota penalty problem,

I have bit torrent QOS at the lowest priority ,always

I have normal web surfing setup at normal QOS

I have a over quota penalty (QOS) set at above torrents but below normal web surfing.

the problem is that when the person goes over quota his torrents prority is being increased.

I always want torrents to be at the lowest..
Any Ideas
They are at the top of my QOS settings. But Quota penalty superseeds QOS?
cheers

Classifications made by the Quota system always take priority over the QoS Classification rules so keep that in mind when setting up your system. This means that once the quota system changes the class you can no longer affect the class assignment with Qos rules.

Sounds like your best bet is to make the over-quota class and the torrent class the same class. Then at least over quota traffic and torrent traffic will have the same priority.

problem is i have a stora nas with transmission, its on 24/7 downloading with any excess bandwidth. currently its been doing about 25gb a day for the last few days. (awesome for Australia)

I only wanted it to get access to the excess bandwidth..
Damn, it looks like their going to get a shock with over quota usage..

cheers and thanks
