Success on TL-WR741ND

Hey guys,

I just wanted to share my success story with the TP-Link TL-WR741ND v2.4.

I've been looking for an affordable way to assign quotas to my house-mates. So I decided to pick up a TP-Link TL-WR741ND v2.4 for about $30 AU.

I installed 1.4.0 straight up and it has worked perfectly.
I am using the TL-WR741ND alongside a Netgear DGN3500 (for ADSL connection). I have each router running on a different subnet so that I can monitor traffic going through the WAN port on the WR741ND and assign quotas based on this, as opposed to just using layer 2 switching between the 2 routers.

So far I have have not found any features of gargoyle that has not worked (including the hard reset button), and the router has been behaving better than expected for a $30 unit.
