Gday all, should a WRT1900ACV2 be able to handle 750/50?
Using Speedtest.net, sometimes I see a 700+ result but most of the time I don't. If I plug computer directly into the NTD I see 750+ all of the 3 of 4 times I have tried that.

I think it should handle it… do you have QoS or anything else enabled that might impact that?
My Flint2 has handled the upgrade just fine.
I could probably unpack my wrt32x and check, but it is a slightly different cpu so it would not be a fair test. Would you like to see that comparison?

Not that I have turned on.I think it should handle it… do you have QoS or anything else enabled that might impact that?
I was posting on Whirlpool about it.

To see the variability of the results.
For some reason, maybe coincidence, I had and still have more issues in Win 7, than in in Mint 21.
Today it took over 5 speedtests to different servers, to find a 700+ result.
As posted in the Whirlpool forum I suspect, maybe the test servers are being saturated by other people doing speedtest.
Fact that I do see some 700+ results, if I happen to test at the right time and right server, seems to indicate the router can handle it.

On the latest versions of Gargoyle you would also turn on Packet Steering to help with spreading the load.

Going to have look that up, and maybe have play with if the router can do that.On the latest versions of Gargoyle you would also turn on Packet Steering to help with spreading the load
Re: WRT1900ACV2 and NBN speed upgrades
Should be supported in the web UI (Connection->Advanced->Global network options) on multi-cpu devices with recent 23.05 and later based builds. 23.05 based builds just have Enabled/Disabled option values (Disabled is default for most targets); 24.10 based builds have Enabled/Enabled (all CPUs)/Disabled option values (Enabled is default).
Re: WRT1900ACV2 and NBN speed upgrades
Hi rockyd
I have the identical router. Some years ago my RSP (ABB) had a special deal on 1000/??, can not remember the upload speed. Anyway I upgraded to this for the duration of the deal time. I remember getting the 1000 download, or very close to it. I can not remember any settings, though probably had QoS and other special functions 'OFF'. Was a few years ago so would have been an earlier version of Gargoyle. Hope this helps.
