Wireless Bridge/Repeater & Wireless Mode

Hello,

I installed Gargoyle on an old Linksys E3200 to use it as a repeater, after trying both openwrt(couldn't get the wireless tab to show up) and dd-wrt(5GHz setting menu refused to show up) without any success. I did test the E3200 as a router and it works correctly.

But I ran into an issue with Gargoyle right away, Wireless Bridge/Repeater option is grayed out and Wireless mode can't be enabled.

Any ideas?

It's a Broadcom wireless device which means its wireless support is garbage (at best). I'm sorry but this is not worth exploring.

We explicitly disable a lot of functionality for Broadcom wireless devices.

If you would like to debug and explore this yourself, start looking in the browser console for errors, and look at the output in /tmp/cached_basic_vars

The E3200 appears to be supported by FreshTomato so you way want to give that a try.
