Re: The future of Gargoyle in 2022
I moved from a wrt54g tomato into gargoyle and every router I have purchased since has been a gargoyle compatible router. I now am on an Archer c7 but run a hardwire to an Orbi wireless AP.
Whatever you guys move onto I will also wind up moving onto as this firmware is simply the best.

+1 for Gargoyle.
I started using Gargoyle in 2018 in my old good Archer C7 v2 and I used it for three years. Then I got a superior Asus router for free and I was so sad that it was incompatible with Gargoyle. The Asus router died couple of weeks ago and luckily I still had the old good C7. I took it from the garage, blowed most of the dust from its surface and voila -> I have a good stable connection again and it works.
No need to change to anything else. In addition, I like the community.
