Re: Fon Flash
Hmm... this is probably just because windows is picky about where I compiled it. Someone discovered that while it runs fine on Win XP to make it work on Vista without a similar error message as you describe, you have to install MS Visual C++ 2008. This may be necessary for Win 2000 as well.
At some point I'll get around to recompiling on the various Windows operating systems to avoid this issue. For now just try installing MS Visual C++ and see if that solves your problem.

Re: Fon Flash
I could not get this to work on a Fon 2201+
I'm using Windows Vista, had all the required pre-requisites and extra libraries loaded.
When I tried to flash, it would give the error message
Expecting packet size 60, got packet size 62, or vice-versa.
Since I already had DD-WRT loaded on it, I just went in manually
via Redboot and flashed the rootfs and vmlinuz that way.
Beta 5 loaded and working great.
Just not sure why the Fon flash wouldn't work on the Fon 2201+
I'd be willing to try any testing if you have any ideas?

Edit: Hmm... I didn't see the part about power-cycling the router after hitting the start button.
I'll try the Fon Flash utility again on Beta 6 or final 1.0 or one of the bleeding edges sometime soon.
