Linksys WRT400N
I have search the board for "400" and WRT400N" but have come up empty. Has a thread been started? Are there installation instruction for Gargoyle on the WRT400N. I have found the files in the download section.

Should apply for Gargoyle as well.
Looks like this is the one main caveat so far:
There are two independent radio chips, the second only works at 5Ghz. You can not use it for two different 2.4Ghz signals. You can not do simultaneous linked connections.
1.3.13 should flash just fine.
Should apply for Gargoyle as well.

Re: Linksys WRT400N
This is not a problem since the 5ghz chip has never been able to do 2.4ghz Even in the linksys firmware.

Try it out and let us know how it goes!
By the way - you may want to check out this post:

It's about button handlers.
You may have to program the buttons yourself at first.
Not too hard to do - and knowing your testing- should be cake!

Re: Linksys WRT400N
Reverted my 400 to OEM FW from dd-wrt. Upgraded via the webui with gargoyle_1.3.13-ar71xx-wrt400n-squashfs-factory.bin.
Used a laptop with windows 7 connected via wire to the router. Had to use IE, firefox kept saying invalid path after the revert for everything including OEM FW.
Seems to be running alright at this time. The radios are not configurable separately.
The Wireless LED doesn't work at all. The wireless security LED is on, even when wireless security is disabled.
I will try to update my wiki page this weekend as well.

EDIT: oh yea forgot to mention I have it configured as 2.4/5GHz WAP

5GHz radio isn't seen by clients.
@dev's let me know what kinda output you'd like to have to further development.

Re: Linksys WRT400N
I would like to revert back to the linksys firmware so I can test other options. How is this done in gargoyle? what does the wrt400n-squashfs-factory do?

Check that thread on me going from
Gargoyle -> OpenWRT -> DD-WRT
Since the WRT400N is AR71XX based, should be similar.
The reason I had to goto OpenWRT first is that Gargoyle would
not take the huge 12MB files needed to revert back to
DD-WRT / Buffalo firmware. OpenWRT did take them.
If the WRT400N stock Linksys firmware is around 5-6 MB, you
may be able to just go from Gargoyle -> Linksys via the GUI
Not sure if you have to add some magic numbers to the header.
The "squashfs-factory" files are for initial flashing from
stock/factory firmware, and after you are on gargoyle,
you use the sysupgrade versions of the firmware.
---------------
Edit: Just checked - Linksys firmware for the WRT400N is
under 4MB - should be able to flash it from Gargoyle's GUI.

Re: Linksys WRT400N
Got into major trouble and somehow screwed a file up that I uploaded to the 400n. Luckily I got some help from LOM. So to try to help anyone else who gets in my position, I am providing a file for the wrt400n that can be used through the WEBUI. Use at your own risk. I have tried it several times and worked every time.
