Yes, I was trying to use a API Token with the needed permissions "Edit Zone DNS".
I have now understood that the key needed for this script to run is the "Global API Key".
I was able to create a script that is restricted to actions ("Edit zone DNS" and exclusively enabled to 1 single domain name instead of having a "Global Token".
The Global approach seems to be a bit overkill for what we need.

Sure that’s fair.
I think when the script was written the global key was the only option.
If you want to share your script I can see if it can be integrated. I don’t know if there is a smart way to identify what type of key the user is attempting to use.
