GL inet AR150 modem support 1.13.x

Hi all

It appears that 1.13.x has no modem support. Tested 1.12.x and it works fine.

For some reason with 1.13.x your modem isn't being identified as a USB CDC device - the logic is in /www/basic.sh starting at line 69 and /www/js/basic.js starting at line 1360.

usb-modeswitch and all the necessary kmods seem to be in the 1.13.x ath79.usb_large config.

What sort of a modem is it?

Just checked with my C7 (same modem) and it works as expected





The modem is Huawei E3372 4G LTE USB Modem

I've just successfully tested a Huawei E8372 (also HiLink) with the MT300Nv2 build I've mentioned elsewhere - showed up just as your E3372 showed up on your C7.

Figuring out why it's not showing up on the AR150 will require looking in the logs and checking the device and interface state using tools like lsusb and ifconfig/ip via SSH, particularly in comparison to what happens with the C7.

Can you try a logread after plugging it in? That directory missing seems to indicate it's not being registered.

I had a look at the logs but I could see nothing interesting.

I unplug then re-plug and wait for the LED's on the modem

The logread shows nothing.

I'm going to flash back to 1.12 and see what the log read shows.
