openwrt repository
Tell me if the packages from the openwrt repository will work, if so, what difficulties can there be on the installation path?
Re: openwrt repository
Packages will generally work. For maximum compatibility, use the closest package repository to the version from Gargoyle.
i.e.
Gargoyle 1.10.x - Openwrt 15.05
Gargoyle 1.12.x - Openwrt 18.06
Gargoyle 1.13.x - Openwrt 19.07
If the package you are after has a dependency on a kernel module (kmod), it won't install as your build won't be an exact match. In this case you can attempt to force install, but it is generally safer/better to compile your own in such cases.
