The upgrade was a little scary (I preserve settings)
But everything is ok and it seems faster.

I have successfully installed this build for WR1043v2 , is there a way to get the plugins installed , currently when i press refresh plugins when connected to the internet , no new plugins appear , is this normal as this this build is not final ? Is there a way to force install missing plugins like the upnp plugin ?

Having the same issue. Installed on a Archer C7 V2 which I am using as an AP. All plugins for me are greyed out and I cannot add a new plugin such as wireless scheduler.thelordabdo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 1:37 amI have successfully installed this build for WR1043v2 , is there a way to get the plugins installed , currently when i press refresh plugins when connected to the internet , no new plugins appear , is this normal as this this build is not final ? Plugins are included in the download. You can host them yourself somewhere or transfer them to the router and install manually.
This is always the case for unofficial builds.

Thanks Lantis. I found the wireless scheduler within the downloads but I am not sure how to proceed with getting this on my router. I am a bit of of a noob. How would you recommend me I proceed with getting this plugin installed? I have putty and WinScp to work with.

For something like the wireless scheduler which has no dependencies, very straight forward.
Use WinSCP to move the plugin .ipk to /tmp
Use Putty and issue
Should be done.
When installed in this method, you can't uninstall them from the GUI, you would have to do that over the command line as well.

Code: Select all
gpkg install /tmp/name_of_plugin_file.ipk

Ok thanks , I have found the same plugins at different folders at built\ath79\ folder with the same size , so i am assuming they are all the same so i copied it from built\ath79\ath10k Folder .Lantis wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 7:36 pmFor something like the wireless scheduler which has no dependencies, very straight forward.

For Logread : plugin-gargoyle-logread_20120724-4_all.ipk
For Watchdog :plugin-gargoyle-ping-watchdog_20131030_all.ipk
But for upnp ِ(WR1043v2) should I install only :
plugin-gargoyle-upnp_1.13.0-1_all.ipk or also miniupnpd_2.1-1_mips_24kc.ipk ?
As for now I have installed (plugin-gargoyle-upnp_1.13.0-1_all.ipk) only , but when i go to Port Forwarding and check mark the UPnP / NAT-PMP to enable it then click save changes and refresh the page , the checkmark is unchecked again .
Edit : yes miniupnpd_2.1-1_mips_24kc.ipk must be installed , now the check mark is saved and no errors at the log .

Re: 1.13.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2020-August-17 19
I just want to say that the upnp is not working for me at version 13.0.x same as version 12 and 11 , the last working version was gargoyle version 10 .
But for reference i don't think its gargoyle fault at all , after searching at openwrt forums alot , i have got that conclusion , its due-to my setup , My ISP Layer3 Modem/router is forcing me for a double NAt setup , I have solved this before (till gargoyle version 10) by enabling the DMZ option at the ISP Modem/Router , the upnp plugin was passing the external ip address through the DMZ , but then something changed from version 11 and the upnp is no longer passing the external ip address , and no one fixed it till now .
There is a workaround as some people suggest , is to manually entering my External ip at gargoyle/openwrt router , but the problem is that i don't have a fixed external ip subscription from my ISP , So my only hope is that openwrt developers could fix it at a comming version ( currently using dmz inside gargoyle for my PC ip , and port forward for other devices )
