Is TP-Link Archer C5 v4 actually supported?
In the download section it's not mentioned. There's only one image. What versions actually supported?
Re: Is TP-Link Archer C5 v4 actually supported?
Version 1 is supported as far as i can tell.
Version 2 appears to be supported upstream. I have no information on a 4 (or 3 if it exists)

i'm planning to change some hardware and found a seller who sells it. it has an own page. here's the official page: https://www.tp-link.com/en/products/det ... C5-V4.htmlLantis wrote:Version 1 is supported as far as i can tell.

Sorry to bump this old thread but has anyone added support for this router.
This is a pretty popular router and i really want to use gargoyle on it due to its ease of use and and quota functionality.
Cheers!

No, the C5 v4 has not been done.
In theory it would be straight forward to do so as we already have a MT7620 profile to build from, but it would require someone to go and look into the how and send a patch to me.

I have ported a patch from openwrt to gargoyle 1.12. Here is the link to my git commit.
<github-url>/ljnath/gargoyle/commit/823c5ca31df9ec66c8c67e35a1afd652050e7246
Not sure if it will help, do let me know.

Re: Is TP-Link Archer C5 v4 actually supported?
Where is this patch from? It does not seem to be in OpenWrt? Is it a pending commit?
There's an error in the image definition as well.
I appreciate your effort but I don't want to support an out of tree device. If it does get accepted maybe I will consider backporting it (only to master/1.13.x, not 1.12).
If I'm wrong, please let me know.
