Using the latest stable 1.12 on an archer c7 v2 and the issue I am running into is that the 5ghz devices connected on it within about 5 min all have a connection speed of 6 in the stats for the wireless clients and they never seem to ramp back up. I have 4 devices that are connected on 5ghz and all show the same connection speed after a few minutes.
Is this a known issue (I searched and found absolutely nothing) or is there some setup parameter I am missing specific to 5ghz?

Such behavior is completely normal (under certain conditions, 5Ghz WiFi can be completely turned off) and it is a so-called DFS function where weather radars are searched for at this frequency:

Try to avoid DFS channels in your country, this should improve stability.

Re: Archer c7 v2 5ghz issues
It's not about DFS.
The wifi driver for that device always reports a TX speed of 6mbps even though it is much higher in reality. It is a limitation of the driver.
If your device is performing ok, there's no need to do anything.

Re: Archer c7 v2 5ghz issues
That's correct. I've got the same behavior on most of my 5GHz devices and it's all good. Making sure the device signal strength is at least < -70 dBm is the dealbreaker for stability on the 5GHz band, IME.
