The Nighthawk X10 R9000 is very powerful:
1 GB RAM
1.7 GHz Quad-Core - Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-514 CPU
Tri-Band radio: 60 GHz (4600Mbps), 5 GHz (1733Mbps), 2.4 GHz (800Mbps)
7x GbE ports 10/100/1000 Mbps (LACP optional on LAN1&LAN2).
It does also support a 10 GbE SFP+ LAN port (altough IMHO it would be more useful to have it as WAN port).
Unfortunately the original Netgear firmware is rubbish.
I see that DD-WRT is supported, is there any chance that Gargoyle will support it in the future?

Re: Netgear Nighthawk X10 R9000
From what I can see, it is barely supported by Linux in the first place, let alone OpenWrt.
OpenWrt support of course being prerequisite to Gargoyle support, the answer is no, and highly unlikely to change.
