Is it possible that there are other wifi sources which are interfering with your router's signal?

I noticed that whenever my wifi signal disappears, I quickly launch inSSIDer and it shows other wifi ssids which are much stronger.

Usually it lasts for 3 mins or so, and my router's wifi signal recovers.

Wonder if there's some form of agreed protocol whereby neighboring wifi sources must vary their wireless signal strength to accommodate other neighbors.

tauki63: It's true there is a problem with rebooting in 1.3.11, but that shouldn't affect the earlier versions. While I don't own this specific model, I haven't had a problem with wifi dropping on routers that use the exact same wireless architecture, and I haven't seen other reports of this from anyone else.

The problem may be interference as kun1he2 , or just trying to connect when you're too far away from the AP.

I suspect that whatever is going on is not gargoyle specific. I would be curious to know whether you see the same problems if you install and configure the latest backfire release of OpenWrt (which doesn't include gargoyle, but which gargoyle is based on and can be found at http://www.openwrt.org).

I'm interesting to Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH but its seem that OpenWrt still has problem with the Atheros wireless driver for this router.
