Netgear Nighthawk R6700v2 Ac1750
This router is amazing when it is working, however it constantly disconnects, and always at the worst of times. Since the support could only tell me to do what I had already done to fix it or spend 120 dollars a year to get actual support I have decided to install a custom firmware into the device. I found that it meets all the specs, but have no idea how I would even begin to determine the routers architecture to decide which version of gargoyle to use. Any advice on either what architecture it is, or how I would go about determining this?

It does not appear to have Openwrt (and therefore Gargoyle) support sorry.
It is the only one in that series (versions 1-3) that has any chance of ever gaining support, but would require development activity upstream.

I wasn't able to find much in terms of custom roms for this device.
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_R6700v2 says there's no dd-wrt for this device.
It's not listed in https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/netgear/start so bad luck.
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... 1&start=15 shows an entry from a year back with a partially working build of dd-wrt, but nothing since.

Hi All, since the last reply to this thread, a version of OpenWRT has been posted for the R6700v2. What would it take to create a version of Gargoyle for it?
Thanks,

Can you provide a link to where the build is available please? I can't find any information.
Edit:
Found the support commit.
Support for the device has so far only been added to the master OpenWrt branch.
Gargoyle 1.12.x is based on OpenWrt 18.06, the unreleased Gargoyle 1.13.x is based on OpenWrt 19.07.
At this stage, you would need to take the Gargoyle master branch and heavily customise it to work with OpenWrt master to get support for this device.
At a guess, 12-18 months before that happens automatically via my own efforts.
If you want to keep an eye on it and remind me to add this device if/when we move to the appropriate upstream codeset, I'm happy to do that as well.

BP70 - I have been scouring the internet and cannot find OpenWRT for 6700v2. Can you share a link?

"Stable Release Build" is not yet (therefore Gargoyle will not be), it is only in the developer section (images do not contain LuCI GUI, you must manually install).cl0udmaster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 2:11 pmBP70 - I have been scouring the internet and cannot find OpenWRT for 6700v2.
